The Kellogg's Eggo Waffle Design Patent
Shown here is the design patent for a classic symbol of breakfast foods - the waffle. More specficially, what appears to be Kellogg's Eggo Waffles. Through countless television commercials, Kellogg's made their frozen breakfast food renowned with its famous "Leggo my Eggo" slogan. Though some may wonder what the benefits of patenting the design of a silly breakfast food may be, it seems to be extremely effective. The waffle is brilliantly designed with cubicle-like compartments to conveniently and neatly hold syrup. Without these high-tech syrup containing chambers, the waffle would be no different than your average mundane pancake.
