Made from ridiculously comfortable sheepskin, the Ugg Boots have taken the world by storm in recent years. Though it is said that Ugg Boots were developed a long time ago, with Wolrd War I pilots wearing them to keep warm, the boots became incredibly popular in the early 2000's. Though the comfort of the twin-faced sheepskin fleece is one of the largest contributing factors to its popularity, the boots are still a member of fashion. And therefore the other contributing factor is its design. Deckers Outdoors Corporation, the owner of Ugg boots, knew that both comfort and style would lead to the success of these boots. Thus this design patent was acquired to protect the Ugg Boot's appearance from being imitated without permission.
